Each rail company has been hit by different levels of disruption, so LondonWorld rounded up what services the operators are running and when the last trains are leaving London.

Train services across London have been crippled after rail workers across the country staged a mass walk out for the fourth time this summer.

It is estimated 40,000 rail workers across the country will strike today (July 27), in a dispute over pay with Network Rail.

Network Rail staff - who run logistics and signalling across the UK train network - as well as employees at 14 different train companies are all striking today.

The industrial action is being organised the RMT Union, led by firebrand general secretary Mick Lynch.

He said: “We are at a real crossroads, with these anti-union proposals coming on the back of the misery caused by the cost of living crisis.

“It’s time for workers across the economy, whether you’re a member of a union or not, to take a stand, take action, before it’s too late.”

Network Rail said only around 20% of services would be running today, and urged passengers to only travel if it was absolutely necessary.

On most lines, there will be no services after 6.30pm - and the last train from King’s Cross to Edinburgh is running at 2pm.

There will be no Gatwick Express, however two trains and hour will be running from London Bridge, and the last train to Stansted is at 5.30pm.
